Why I haven't blogged consistently

This has been a crazy busy month! Two weddings on May 5, one on the 12th, and one each on the 25th and 26th. Add in several birthday parties. Chaiya had a Survivor party with many many friends. Then Lydia said she couldn't turn 7 until she had a party also. So we created a Shrek party with a few of her friends from church. Maliea had several doctors and dentist appointments in Phoenix....Lydia had a doctors appointment in Phoenix and then one today. Is this month over yet???? Maliea turned 19 and while she keeps receiving gifts everyday, we have yet to make her a cake. Heads up... we are planning a graduation ceremony for her in June. Lydia goes in for surgery (maintenance stuff ears and throat) on the 7th of June. Just writing all of this is making me feel tired. Oh yeah we did learn a little about Russian history in there. Thayne has his birthday on June 14th , we have to fit in an unbirthday for Quayde somewhere. I have to go to court at the end of June to deal with Mark and child support issues since the law has changed. NO WEDDINGS IN JUNE YEAH!!!!!! It starts up again though on July 1st.
Chaiya and I started categorizing all the books we have in the house on www.librarything.com It is very fun...okay maybe just for me. Believe it or not I do love order. Not that my living room resembles any form of it right now. Michael has been working tons. Oh I forgot to mention he was gone for a full week this month; off having "fun" in Laughlin NV. Okay he had to go for training for his new department head position at Home Depot. We haven't had a lot of time to see each other lately.Swo I started today to figure out a plan for more structured homeschooling time. Lydia needs to learn some math. She is doing great at reading random words. The new nurse is really good about helping her with crafts and art projects. Chaiya's recent book purchases were "Utopia" and the "Count of Monte Cristo" Not too concerned about her classical education at all. She is a great example of a self directed learner! Quayde needs more help reading and less playing video games!!!!! That is something I am focusing on in the next several weeks. The weather has been yummy. It is still getting a little cool at night. I can't walk around on the deck without shoes yet but I am so looking forward to just laying out there and watching the stars. I think I sat still for too long since sleepiness just swept over me. I will try to do a better job of updating.
Lydia wanted a Shrek cake for her birthday and I quote, " All my friends will laugh, then we will cut him in to pieces and eat him" Maybe I should be worried about this child.

Family togetherness

Since the van met an untimely demise last fall...we generally drive the truck and Michael's little mazda whenever we go anywhere as a family. Well tonight Mike and I were going to make a quick trip to Walmart (2 miles away) and take the little ones. We hop into the truck and then thought we should bring Maliea with us so she could get new shoes, then we asked the other two if they wanted to come (thinking they'd say no). So we ALL piled into the cab of the truck. Lydia is pretty small still so Quayde can fit next to her. Now this is all happening after 9:00pm.
We get to Walmart do our shopping and start to check out. The cashier is smiling really really big at us!!! Then makes a comment about this being a "family outing" to Walmart. Then he tells us that he was watching us on the security camera as we were all piling out of the truck. He couldn't believe how many people kept coming out. Of course he was observing us for quite awhile. Needless to say by the time we got back out to the truck several of us and mainly me were laughing hysterically because we knew he was watching to see how we all got back in. Chaiya thought of some really clever sayings we should have told him and we threatened Maliea that she better not pass gass until we got home.

My sister Carrie is my hero for helping literally throw together everything on the wedding reception we did this weekend. The ceiling took 8 hours without the lights then we couldn't start until 1:00 to decorate and it started at 6:00. Carrie came to our rescue. It was amazing and about 400 people and non stop work. Last several nights we've been getting in bed after 2:30 in the a.m. and we still feel like we had a bad workout this evening.
My mother's day started with Thayne scrubbing the toilet with my toothbrush. I probably needed a new one any way right?
Today is Lyd's birthday She's 7!!!! We will celebrate later in the week though. She amazes me every single day.
Hope your Mother's Day was wonderful. You, my friends are the best moms out there!!!!

Lydia's name

Thayne has almost everyone's name down quite well. Quayde, Dad, Momma, even Chaiya who when she doesn't respond to him...he dumps a cup on cold water on her.
Maliea he doesn't speak well but Lydia is fondly known as "BLAH, BLAH"

busy as usual

Last weekend we had 2 weddings to set up for...needless to say I haven't been getting in bed before 1:30 am and haven't had a moment to do anything but wedding stuff.
They both turned out really well. I have a wedding blog now too! http://prescottdreamweddings.blogspot.com
I wanted to keep personal and wedding seperate.
Lydia is so fun. Each night I read her books and sing her lullabies before she goes to sleep. In one of the songs I sing it talks about being a "wandering angel, so fold up your wings for tonight" Well tonight Lydia scrunches up her shoulders and tells me she's folding up her wings.
Thayne is trying to go potty in the toliet but unfortunately he is a little to short...so he is trying to pull "himself" up to reach the potty.
Quayde got a little too much pool water in him and spent Saturday evening throwing up. I am so sorry to you Kristi for it beginning at your house.
Chaiya and I are planning her birthday party to be held on the 16th in the evening. It will have a Survivor theme to it. We are trying to get invites finished.
Maliea is Maliea always sweet and perfect.
Michael is doing a business trip all this week in Laughlin, NV for Home Depot.
We have another wedding this weekend that we are preparing for which should be beautiful.
That's what we've been up to
