Things that have been keeping me away from blogging:
Chicken pox....why couldn't they have all got it at the same time? Thayne finally broke out and well he is still poxed all over.
Weddings.... all though event design is my passion I am trying to find space and time to manage how big the company has grown in the last 6 months.
Homeschooling....oh yes I do have children that need to be guided and nurtured.

This weekend we ran up to Flagstaff to the arboretum, which is always wonderful. While we were there they had a fascinating Birds of Prey lecture. We got up close and personal with some raptors and an incredible owl. Before the lecture we went and explored Peter Rabbit's garden and got to talk to Fibber the gnome. Running into my very best friend Kristi and her kids at Bookman's a few hours later was indeed a happy surprise. If Flagstaff wasn't so incredible expensive housing wise I would consider living there. I love it up there! It was nice mini retreat away

Things not to say....

when your neighbor is watering his lawn just ten feet from where you are standing.
Yesterday after arriving home from Phoenix...I said really loud...across the driveway to Chaiya
"I really really hope your brother is awake because these breasts are full , I mean really full of milk"
Only to turn around and see Mr. Serious Neighbor cracking up.

Summer of the Movie

You want to know where any and all extra cash is going this summer. Yep! To the local theatres. This has been the summer of excellent movies. The latest two are Stardust and Hairspray. Both amazingly good. Got to go out and find the soundtrack to Hairspray so we can learn the tunes, roll down the windows and start singing our hearts out just for fun.

Spoke too soon. Quayde is covered in little chicken pox spots. I am sure Thayne will be headed that way soon.
3 things I've learned as a mom: Never buy cheap sunscreen. French fries never mold. Bananas are really not a good idea to give to the two yo in the car for breakfast.
Feeling heavy tonight. It was a Dr appt day in Phx for Maliea and Lydia. Looks like Lyd and I will be headed somewhere for a spinal surgery. Going in for a MRI and her stuff will be sent to several clinics across the US where they can evaluate what is the best route. Changed Maliea's meds. Need a magic wand.
Got the van!!! It's silver but for some bizarre reason my brain keeps registering that it is gold. Wish I had a lot of money to just take a road trip and escape.
Maliea applied to be a volunteer docent for the zoo. She is waiting to hear back from them.
11 year old boys complain more than 7 year old girls about chicken pox. At least that what tonight is.

Thayne and Quayde are still chickpox free but we have one more week to go. Chaiya started back to seminary this morning with the secretary boldly announcing that she was the favored student. You just know how a 16 yo wants to be singled out in a group of her peers!
Trying to come up with ways to create more time besides getting up at 4:30 am. I am very good at time manipulation I just need to figure out some kinks.
We made Flat people to start our school and Lydia and Quayde will be first traveling to the Sahara desert.
Headed to Office Max to see if they still have bullitin boards on clearance. Have lots of wedding stuff to do!
Found a new van ..waiting on some money to arrive to finish purchasing it. I have already put a deposit on it.
