Today I went pillaging and looting at my parents property. Boldly looking for anything that will help me pull off a western/cowboy style wedding. I came home with a rusted wash bin, a broken plastic water pump looking thing, some tumbleweeds, a milk can, some wood boxes and mom's horse blanket. Which I did call and confess and promise to return the stuff 'cause I sure don't want to keep it! Then I headed to Ieleen's house and picked up 28 horseshoes which will be spray painted and jeweled to add some bling. Carrie was very sweet today , literally! She brought me one of my treasured dark chocolate bars with pear. Although she did call me ahead of time to see if it really existed or if I had just made up the idea. The kiddos were very patient as I drug them all over the middle of nowhere looking for stuff. Home Depot had some decorative wagon wheel at a sharp price of $30 apiece. Please tell me what I am going to do with these afterwards. Now I am off to iron 112 brown satin sashes.

I think my problem with not updating my blog is that I'm a very visual person and having no camera makes for a boring blog with no pictures so I'm not motivated.
I am wondering if somehow I have deeply offended my hmsching mom friends. If I have said or done anything wrong please forgive me and let me know how I can make amends. Not seeing anyone except Susan on Friday was quite the surprise. A random mom from the "other" hmsch Christian group came up to me and asked if I was with the 'OFFICIAL WICCA' homeschooling group that usually meets at the park on Friday. WOW!!! I didn't know we moms had earned ourselves that fun title. I guess our coven has been outed and we will have to be more open with our Full moom ceremonies or something.
Currently everyone here is well, Super Hubby is not watching his lifting restrictions as well as I would like him too. Jordan is fitting in well, as he tolerated Thayne placing earrings in his hair during church today. Silver isn't quite his color I'm thinking. I am enjoying this heavenly pumpkin souffle candle that is burning on a high Thayne proof shelf right now. I usually think most pumpkin candles have too much spicey smell but this one is perfect!!! Mac the turtle is doing well and we moved him into the house as the weather is getting chilly at night. He doesn't smell anymore. Amazing what happens when you give an animal the right habitat environment. Chaiya has taken a fancy to him and loves it when he does his Matrix flips.
Halloween is coming! Working on a Hermes costume for Quayde tomorrow. Here's to a very busy week. Costumes, doctors appointments, parties, art work for Primary program, wedding and normal schooling stuff. Whoooo hoooo.

QOTD

From Chaiya, " Okay Mom just be smart for five minutes"

Did she forget who I am?

It's late, again. I spent some time tonight watching several webinars on IRS tax filing. You know exciting stuff. Once again reminding me I need to get my act together better with all these receipts that are stuffed over here in the bucket by my desk. I have a wonderful accountant but they aren't miracle workers if I don't have it together.
Lydia and I took some mom/daughter time and grabbed some gelato and sorbetto, then went to the pottery painting place. It moved down the road. There is not a whole lot to tell you where it is at. No big sign or anything. We finally found it and Lydia create a pumpkin ghost which after being fired will be bright candy apple red. It's her favorite color. She was a little resentful of my helping. So the ghost will be red.
We are learning a new autumn song that is so fun. The chorus sings," Hurry, hurry, hurry, hurry we must all get fat and furry. Not a moment to be lost. I can (hear, feel, smell, see) bold Jack Frost" So all of us have the hurry hurry part running through our brains. It is such a fun song , okay it's about the forest animals but I really am loving the fat and furry part!
We got our new block and stick stockmar crayons and can't wait to play tomorrow.
Quayde just walked in , I thought he was asleep. He says he had to watch the Barbie Rapunzel movie again before we returned it because it's so good. Lydia hated it. Quayde's so cute...just don't tell him I said that.
Now I'm going to bed.
Well you know that sweetie pie is bored stiff just lying around. Today I think that he over did it though. Maybe he will be able to sleep deeper. He tried not to take any of the heavy meds and stick with IB today. Will see what tomorrow will bring.
So I was all excited about this wedding I have in November. The lady told me that they wanted all Autumn colors with deep bronzes, browns and yellow/golds. Then she called me at 8:30 this morning and said that they decided to have a themed wedding . COWBOY! Complete with the hats, ropes, boots etc... Okay I know I live in AZ but..... western stuff is just not my favorite of all things. So we are now going with Rustic Elegance, as I call it.
It's hot cocoa time. Just picked up the basic ingredients to make our first big batch. Just got to go get those yummy syrups now.
Christopher Columbus is missing off of the table and we can't figure out how to get the Nina's sails to stay on. Lydia is convinced that there were two ships named the Nina 'cause her and Quayde both made models of them. She makes me smile everyday!

Michael was able to get up and walk around fairly well today. That made me feel a lot better about his recovery. We have been threatening him with prune juice but he was able to defer and not have to drink any more. Thayne has been really good about not jumping on Daddy. It will be at least 6 weeks before he can pick him up though.
Lydia had to go see another peditrician today for YLTC insurance red tape. Sometimes I just want to ask these doctors if they really enjoy their jobs. They rarely smile, never want to be cheery and connect, and I am fairly convinced the only reason they are there is to pay off those student loans they got.
The best thing about having little ones...is when they smile and snuggle into you and you know you are loved completely!

So in the hunt for a bran muffin recipe for sweetiepie...I stumbled across a small taste of heaven. Davinci Gourmet syrup recipes!!! One of my small pleasures in life is Iced carmel milk...It is so yummy on a hot summer day. Now we are getting into Autumn weather (it was only in the 50's today) and so we turned to warmer drinks. I digressed. So if you want to make to die for yummy things you must check out their site! I fully plan on making hazelnut truffles and my own version of a pumpkin pie frappe.

Taxes

I now know where all our tax dollars go! To air condition the VA Hospital down in Phoenix. Yesterday I froze to death! It is soooo cold in there. They provide the patients with these gowns that hook up to a warming and cooling system. It has chambers in it to pump the air and circulate your desired temperature. Okay that has to cost a pretty penny!!!! They are one use only. So what's wrong with turning the dial up a few notches and use more blankets that can be re-used over and over. I was offered a blanket by the way by a nice nurse. Michael is slowly
recovering ...not fast or even normal. IF there is a next time I will have them keep him for observation overnight. He doesn't do well with anesthesia at all. Pray that I remain sane please. Back to my nursing duties. Hope everyone has a great fall weekend!

Gratitude

With a grateful heart I am praising our Heavenly Father for our miracle today! Thank you Spirit for inspiring Reahna. Thank you for my siblings and their spouses for being there ...for when you can't you feel quite helpless. Thank you hospital staff and thanks for oxygen. The oxygen one we are grateful for a lot. Please pray for my mom and dad for a healthy recovery. Today they almost died from CO posioning and need our prayers for complete healing for the long term. My heart is filled with gratitude for many many things today!

What I would do if I was a Millionaire
First off a million buck definitely doesn't go very far any more.
If I bought a house that would take half of it right there
So I would build a strawbale green house somewhere fabulous.
There might be a tad bit of money left which I would create a retreat center for burnt out moms or a children's museum with.

5 bad Habits
1. not getting enough sleep
2. not being present because I spend too much time multitasking
3. not spending enough time in nature
4. drinking too much Dr. Pepper see #1
5. not having dinner planned and prepared by 9:00 am each morning

5 Things I'd never wear again
Well..... I have worn bright yellow overalls, neon green shirts and purple paisley ones just because. Most of the stuff I have in my closet was there 10 years ago also. So I can't think of anything except maybe that lampshade or bumblebee costume.

Favorite toys.
Today I bought a giant acorn
probably my gel pens and paper

I refuse to tag anyone!!!!
