Merry Christmas to everyone!!!! We love you lots and hope you all had a lot of fun today.

I wish I could say that only Christmas was keeping me busy but...last weekend we had a wedding in Phoenix, got home to a frantic call from someone needing me to do their son's wedding this coming weekend and then I have another the weekend after Christmas. That doesn't count the open house for Legacy Home Health agency that I did on Mon and Tues. I know what Christmas magic is....the time/space continuum that exists to assist busy parents to actually accomplish things by Christmas morning. So I need everyone to send me some Christmas magic or nothing else is getting done. Thayne and Lydia saw Santa at the mall this morning. Thayne wasn't so thrilled as you can see by the picture. Off to burn wedding music, tie sashes, iron chair covers and create centerpieces.

On Wednesday it was soooo warm, this evening we have snow!!!! Just in an hour or so we have this much. Lydia wants to make an igloo tomorrow morning. Thayne isn't as sure about all of this cold stuff.

I am posting tonight before 10:00 pm because we will start our Hanukkah rituals later this evening, even though the sun has already sunk down a long time ago.

It was almost 71 degrees today...what is with this weather? I am not sure but it has affected my kiddos in strange ways. Quayde has been cleaning his room including the avalanche closet, Maliea has been working on sorting things too. Then Chaiya comes in observes her siblings and asked if she should clean too? Now the wonderful things about my older kids is that I have never asked them to clean their rooms. It has always been about their space and how they respect their space. Not about me.

Last night we drove for FHE to look at the Valley of Lights display in Prescott Valley. Not bad!!! Then we ended up running , yes running around the courthouse downtown. Michael made the choice to drag all of us out of the warm car and take us for a run. We were only going to drive around and look at lights, so none of us but Quayde (?) was dressed warmly enough to take a leisurely walk. So we figured running would get our heart rates up, pump some blood and keep us warm. Okay it was a good thought! I am sure we were quite the sight. Thayne and Quayde ran up the steps and Chaiya joined them. Gave my heart warm fuzzies to see them laughing and having so much fun together.

Off to get kiddos ready for YW and Scouts!

"I'm still a good daughter!" said by Lydia after locking her little brother in a dark room.

Maliea had to pass out flyers for the Zoo events today at the Holiday parade. It was cold and wet and raining with a little hail. Maliea had to walk along the sidewalk during the parade and convince people to take a zillon pieces of paper. An hour and 7 minutes later Maliea returned to the nice, warm vehicle where her mom and siblings had watched the parade in warmth with breadsticks and drinks from Fazoli's. We gave her some too!!! She is a trooper. She was cold but glowing. I think it makes her feel good to being doing this.
We are snuggled in our home with the wind whipping around. I was able to complete 4 gifts....well there were actually 6 but Thayne and Lydia have claimed two of them.
Today Thayne didn't knock over the Christmas tree at all. Yesterday it was 5 times, the last time Mom had a screaming fit and just left the tree there and I think it scared him enough to be good today.
The storm knocked out our phone for most of yesterday and all of today but it seems to be working again tonight. Sorry if anyone has tried to call, you would have either got a busy signal or it would have kept ringing and ringing. We are here though and Chaiya is not so she isn't manipulating all the phone time.
