It was really important for Michael to attend the Callihan family reunion the first weekend in June. So we all hopped on in the van and took a short 6 1/2 hour drive. Which is nothing now that we are seasoned 'travel across the country' people. The next morning we arrived at the camp ground which was so beautiful. There we shared a potluck lunch, visited and headed to the pool.
Going off the diving board for the first time, Quayde had to gather a little bit of courage to make the leap. After that it wasn't a problem at all.
Lydia's first time in a pool without her Daddy having to hold her way above the water. Chaiya was really careful and within a little while even Lydia wasn't afraid anymore.
Thayne is just part fish! This boy has no fear at all and was jumping off the edge doing twists and making complete perfect dives off the diving board. Maliea enjoyed the pool also but I didn't get a good picture of her and after 18 years+ of never getting in a pool I actually went for it! I conquered my fears of water last year and spent most of the afternoon with the kids swimming around.
Nana, Uncle Bill and Aunt Lisa all hung around for a little bit and watched us play.
Later in the evening we passed this great old covered bridge heading to Nana's. It is boarded up so you can't drive over it but it is still a beauty. The end of our first day was spent with more visiting and enjoying good food. Michael drove us all around showing us all his boyhood hang out spots and where he went to school etc... We had so much fun. I am way behind on posting this trip and Thayne's birthday etc... so I will try and get my act together and get all the pictures up of our adventures.(smiles)

Looks like you are having fun here in the Buckeye state! If that bridge is the one I'm thinking of, you aren't too far from us!
I adore the photos of Thayne, Chaiya, and Lydia. And I'm so happy Lydia was able to swim...this has been such a big year for her with so many firsts. :)
